Since Wednesday is such a crappy day of the week to have a birthday, endorphan and I are planning on just having dinner at the Outback in Canyon Park tonight. It would be great to have people join us, but we know this is kinda last minute.

At least not for the past several days. Had a fun 4th of July at Gas Works but I don't know that I'd do that again. Friday night we weren't planning on going out, but somehow we ended up at the Merc. There weren't many people there, but it gave us the opportunity to sit and talk to some people with whom we might normally only share a nod of recognition. One of the jobs I interviewed for was cancelled. Guess they decided they didn't need that position.

The other job was filled internally.

But the guy at the staffing company said that they did like me and I should try again in a couple of months.

We got turned down for the place we wanted to live in.

And I'm still sick.

Nope, not doing so good

Started feeling icky last night and it hasn't gotten any better today. Just checked my throat and I have those lovely little white spots that generally indicate strep. Considering endorphan's boss came down with it last week I guess I'm not really surprised. Somehow I seem to be very susceptible to it and get it every year (sometimes twice a year). ( Read more... )
