Watched the President on 60 minutes this evening. It is so wonderful to have someone leading the country that is articulate and able to give a well thought out answer to a question. The morning after a really strange dream where Neil Gaiman and several other authors & illustrators were doing a musical review and singing and dancing badly comes the news that Neil Gaiman won the Newbery Medal for The Graveyard Book.

Woo Hoo!!!! Congrats to Neil.

Last year's award selections were pretty much meh. I'm so glad something good won.

I watched the ceremonies online while I was at work. The library director invited staff to watch the television in the board room but unfortunately I was the only one in our dept. so I had to stay put and pretend to be working. Was going to post the other day about two really really weird dreams I had but then got involved in day to day chaos and forgot. I don't remember the dreams either except for something about someone saying "We're going to have to insert rods." and I still don't know what (or who) the rods were to be inserted into.

I braved the cold wind to trek to the county police headquarters to get a copy of the police report on the car accident that resulted in my father's death. My mom needs it to send in with some life insurance paperwork. My alarm went off at its customary 6:15 and as a lay there in a half awake state I heard a weird whistling noise. It confused me.
