Summary: You never know what hides behind the fur.

One part of Orlando was scared and the other relieved to have his friend at his side. His first impression of the city hadn't been a very nice one and it stayed with him, and what he had been through had also left a deep imprint. When Fang had suggested they should go out together in forms of a man and his dog, Orlando welcomed it.

They walked the streets, Orlando holding the leash loose just for show. Neither of them wanted to frighten anyone. The people they met looked at them, a few seemingly with reservations and some commenting on what an obedient dog Orlando had.

'Fuck me! Obedient?' Fang projected to Orlando, and then continued, 'they should just know who I am.'

Orlando tried to keep a straight face. He knew Fang was anything but a timid dog, considering he was really a wolf. Just to show that Fang wasn't as nice as he looked he growled at a few men. Orlando put a hand on Fang's fur to calm him, but also to ground himself when he could smell their scent, too.

When they had gone a safe distance from the men, Orlando let go of Fang. Both quickened their steps and it was only when they reached the park that they could breathe normally again.

'If it had been any other day, under any other circumstances I would have hunted them down,' Fang let out.

Orlando picked up Fang's mood and, looking around, he bent down and cuddled the wolf. 'I would have hunted them with you if I were fit enough,' Orlando projected over to the wolf.

"That's a nice looking dog you have there." The sound of a girl's voice cut off their mind-speaking.

Orlando rose to face her before replying, "He ain't so bad."

"Have you had him long? What breed is he?" she continued to ask.

"Not that long. He is a Lupus Lyancon." Orlando tried not letting it show that he wasn't up to talking.

"What is a Lupus Lyancon? I don't think I have heard them and he does look like a wolf."

'If she was wearing a red hood and I was into human flesh I would have eaten her,' Fang projected to Orlando.

"He sure can act like a Big Bad Wolf. It is best not to piss him off," Orlando said to warn them both.

"Ohh. I'm actually more of a cat person. My friends say so though I do like dogs as well."

"That's good for you. Well, you'll have to excuse me; I have to go," Orlando said and barely managed to walk casually and not run. He felt skittish, and knew he would continue to feel that way.

'Sorry, Orlando, about my comment earlier, but it would have made you good if you had stayed and talked to her,' Fang let Orlando know.

'I'm not ready to do that, to talk to people. I just want to go back to Sanctuary.' Orlando almost stumbled on the words.

'That's okay. The 'Big Bad Wolf' will take you.' With those words, Fang sped up and they went back to Sanctuary a lot quicker than when they left it. When they entered the backyard to the club and certain there was no one there, Orlando changed into his true form, that of a Panther.
