I got bit by a cat at work on Tuesday. It bit my middle finger THROUGH a leather welding glove. Welding gloves are 2-3 layers of leather with padding. It bit through all of that and gave me three fairly deep puncture wounds. Fun times! I ended up having to go to the emergency room on Wednesday as the finger was already nice and infected. Vegas was good. I had a great time, but it would have been way more fun if I had gone with more people than just my mother. The World Cup was amazing though. I've never seen riders or horses of that caliber and I was blown away by a few of the rides. It was inspirational and completely disouraging at the same time ( Read more... )

I just saw a list of who's riding at the world cup and I'm so excited. I actaully get to watch Isabell Werth, Anky VanGrundsven, Hubertus Schmidt, Sven Rothenberger, Jan Brink, Robert Dover, Debbie McDonald, and Guenter Seidel.

Last night was fun. Went to the Tonic with Jesse, met some awesome new people, and saw a few people I know and haven't seen for a while. Had a couple weak and wimpy drinks, watched a couple bands, chatted with people. Food at the Alaska house afterward with Jesse, Mike, Rian, and Lauren. Good times.

I have a feeling that these next two weeks are going to suck. I put off my 40 hrs of observation for too long and now I have two weeks to try and fit it in. I think I've figured out where and for how long each day I need to do it, I just have to contact the clinics and make sure it's OK from me to come in those days.
