I actually hadn't heard of him prior to entering my German Philosophy class this semester. My professor's fascinated by him, though. :)

he's not too well-understood, even now. modern ecologists and physicists see a lot of prescience in his words. i found him deeply helpful in helping me make direct contact with the outside world back in my freshman/sophomore year at st john's. :)
