HP:DH Theory Number 1: The ships.

As in relationships. I thought I'd get this one out of the way, since fandom is overly concerned with who does and does not end up together.

This post runs down my opinions on who ought not to be together, those couples I hope get together, and what I think is actually likely to happen.

how many boyfriends has ginny had? just that corner idiot and dean, right? then harry? i don't think that's all that slutty, since no one ever talks about how far she's gone with either of them except snogging, and that was just to piss ron off into lavender's arms. i think harry/ginny could've been a more tolerated couple if she'd been given more personality. in the beginning, she was just ron's sister that had a crush on harry(yeah yeah, she got into shit, but that's still all she was). then she suddenly turned into ron's sister that's hot. but either way, harry still hasn't talked to her very much. he's watched her alot, but they've never really talked. subsequently, we really don't know much about how ginny acts, whether or not she's actually slutty, whether or not she's really all that much of a bitch because everytime she DOES talk, it's usually to harrass ron, and she's SUPPOSED to be a bitch to him. so i think people would have liked that couple alot more if ginny had just gotten more attention and had harry begun to notice ( ... )

I think Corner and Dean are the only boys we KNOW about. I'm pretty sure it's inferred there were boys before Corner, and between him and Dean. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure.

Also, as I'll say in one of my future posts (I have them all written out already, just waiting to post them), Rowling pretty much ignores anything sexual above making out. That's exactly the point, we don't KNOW what else she's been doing with these boys, but if we know teenagers, we can guess. Maybe she hasn't had sex, but you can bet there's been more than snogging going on. But then, I don't LIKE Ginny, so I'm biased.

And I totally agree about Ginny needing more personality than being Ron's sister and then the slutty bitchy chick that Harry suddenly lusts after for no reason.

yeah, i think if she'd just been given more 'screen time'(for lack of a better word) then she might have seemed more than just a slutty(which i don't really think she is any more than any other 16 year old girl at a boarding school) bitchy(ok, yeah, she's kinda that often) girl. i guess i'd LIKE a reason for harry to lust after her. if fanfiction writers can come up with good reasons to lust after her, why can't rowling???
