1. The zipcar at JFK/UMass has returned! And it's a station wagon.
2. Has anyone else seen the new buffalo nickel? I like how the profile of Jefferson only partially fits on the coin. Very hip. -
Booklist
I tried reading City of God by E.L. Doctorow and was about half way through when I gave up. I don't like giving up on books but I just couldn't get into it. Everyone says it's worth sticking with but I guess I just wasn't in the right mood for it. Maybe I will pick it up again. I am interested to see how he pulls it all together ( Read more... ) -

J's co-worker has a friend who works up in Killington and is currently house-sitting for "some rich Brazilian". The Art of Losing
I called the Boston Taxi "Lost & Found" in a last ditch effort to find the scarf I lost last Saturday night. I felt a bit silly calling around just for a scarf but whatever.

While doing a little research about a potential trip to North Carolina this spring I found out that it is still a lot cheaper to take the train than to fly. I come from a train traveling family, not because anyone in my family is afraid to fly but just because my parents like to ride trains. I'm reading a really good book right now called The Lake of Dead Languages by Carol Goodman. It's a mystery the way The Secret History was a mystery - about a group of girls at a small boarding school getting engrossed in Latin and pagan traditions, etc. It's another one of those books that's so engrossing I very nearly miss my T stop when I'm ( Read more... ) -

Once again I'm tired from staying up to watch the entire Oscar broadcast even though I was bored out of my mind.
