I want a small dog so that I am not lonely so often when my friends schedules collide with mine and I am stuck alone in my house for hours upon hours. I bet I could find a small dog for a relatively inexpensive price that my parents would be okay with.

why pay money for an animal and support breeders when there are so many unwanted animals that are put there by irresponsible people?

there are generally no small dogs at shelters. i had to go through a breeder after 5 or so attempts at getting a small dog from a few local shelters.

my family does have a shelter dog, though, and she is the best dog we've ever had.

warrensburg's shelter had a chihuahua, but it was so mean it had a warning not the put your hand in the cage (although no other dog, not even the pit bull, had a warning).

if you buy it, no... probably not.
a mini-pincher or something of that size goes for about a grand...
trust me, i've been looking for a little dog like that for cheap... maybe they're less in KC, but up here they're WAY too much.
