I have been given the best temp job I could ever hope for. for the next month, I will be putting stickers on CDs at Secretly Canadian for $10-15 an hour, and if I get really quick, $20 an hour. SNAP

as for cell phones .. i think they ALL have free roaming and l-d these days. they should, anyway. i've used sprint for over a year. the only time i had a problem, when my phone conked out and the screen would only show mumbo-jumbo, a new one was fed-exed to me the next day for free.
then again, the next person that reads this will have some sprint horror story.
i don't have a cell phone, but my mom is on sprint and she hates it. the reason is that their so-called "coast-to-coast" pcs thing is really spotty. like you'll be fine as long as you are near a population center, but once you move out a little bit (like if you are on the road, for instance) you get shit coverage. i don't know if other plans are better than this; a lot of people i know seem to like cingular or verizon. anyway, my mom is unsatisfied with sprint and intends to change providers when her contract is up.
i had a spring telephone once upon a time, and boy do they bite the balls. man. they charge you minutes to check your voice mail! the roaming is bad. bad. bad.
I just spent a lot of time researching cell phones, and while all of the providers basically suck (How is such a major industry so freaking shady?), I would recommend verizon. It has the lowest complaint levels, the biggest network, and the customer service lady on the phone was nice. With a two year contract, you get this pretty, shiny little blue flip phone for free!
i havent really had any problems with verizon... i like it. my plan is like, $50, which i'll complain about just because i hate paying bills, and i have 500 minutes + free nights and weekends + 1000 mobile-to-mobile minutes, i think. so that's 1000 minutes with anyone else who uses verizon, i think. not too bad
i shouldnt say this cuz my bro works there, but sprint sometimes has really bad reception when you're not in a major city... so if you're going to be off the beaten path a little it's not so good. but, if you can manage it, get a Sanyo phone no matter what provider you go with... my bro says they have the best reception, and my battery power lasts a really long time.
