Our offer was presented this morning and now we wait. There were 3 other offers...eek! We find out Sunday if ours is chosen. This week was the most exhausting week ever so I am ready to just chill.My co-workers received their transfer/layoff letters today from the County.Everyone in my unit is being transferred except me and one other social worker ( Read more... )

your job... that is CRAAAAZY. I am glad you didnt get laid off, but still oh my maude that sounds like too much work. How can you possibly provide that many people adequate support? Silly question I know.

I know...It's impossible.I am going to focus on helping homeless families because that's where my heart is.I think the County will realize that services are not being provided at CalWorks and transfer some people back...I hope.Things are going to get pretty bad.We were short staffed before the cuts! Eek!
