my worlds are colliding. doesn't help that my head would feel better if it would explode. or implode. or stop feeling like it is in a vice.

That is such a wild story about you and DB. I can understand the reaction, too.

Yeah, that would be a bit wiggy.

...But note that, thanks to the commutative property of nude beaches, you have also seen HIM naked. (Even if you didn't recognize him.) Which evens the score a bit.

Even if "I can't believe you didn't know about us" (?!?) doesn't seem to have an antecedent, probably not a bad idea to mention to HIM that you're a bit wigged that two of your worlds are intersecting, & that you like to keep them separate in general... of course, the "owning your choices" thing is often a good thing to do--and you DO live in a culture where bipolykinkywhatever is often Not That Big a Deal. (But do you think of the division/secrecy/whatever as a burden, or as a comfort, or as part of the fun of it all?)

Also: the people who say that they're "going to go to the burning man festival next year or the following year" are the people who will never, ever actually do it. Either you can get it together to get to the desert or you can't...

Nanowrimo = awesome. I did it in 2001 and am very glad I did.

I understand the freak out about worlds colliding (and it's making me think of Seinfeld..."You're killing Independent George!"). I know I would certainly have the heebee jeebees if my evil boss turned up at any kinky function I happen to attend. But so far most of my employers/co-workers (including the evil boss) have known about me being poly and bi. I like to gradually work that into someone's knowledge of me because 1) I'm a bit of a show-off, and 2) I like to expand people's minds about the choices they have in life. My favorite example is when I told our high school interns about being poly...nearly blew their heads off! I'm hoping they tell their friends. If only I had known about polyamory in high school...oh the possibilities.
