In retrospect, i should probably have packed a lot better. So much stuff i left behind cuz i thought i wouldn't need it, or didn't even think about it. Like shoes for example. Thought I'd be spending most of my time in sandals so i only brought one pair. Now I'm here and i have yet to wear something other than my one sad looking pair of tennis

It really pulls at your heart strings. I wish that I could adopt them all. Well at least the well behaved ones. It sounds like the volunteers, you, are their best source of love.

Did the kids in the school where you teach grow up in the orphanage?

awwww!! Thanks for the pics and the stories. It's hard to believe people can be so mean to helpless little babies. What does it take to adopt one of those kids? Have their parents in jail lost all parental rights?

Though you will probably never entertain the idea of a career in professional child care after this (not that you ever did), what a good chance this is for you to love and be loved by the most innocent among us.
