My office surveys our university's graduates every Spring to find out where they are working, how much they are making, and how they found the job. It's pretty standard career counseling stuff. Not that I've ever been on a horse. Over the past two weekends, something clicked and I was able to drive the stick shift car around calm roads. According to the intro to Fast Food Nation (2002), 1 out of every 8 workers in the U.S. has at one point been an employee of McDonald's. That is crazy! From my experience reviewing resumes, that hasn't been the case, but the jobs are so low-wage and commonplace that many people just don't bother to take credit for it. It's sad.
