I'm sick too... sort of.badongApril 28 2004, 08:52:58 UTC
I think my body is overreacting to the pollen in the air or something. I coughed up something today that I believe was on the verge of becoming sentient. I mean, normal mucus blobs don't wiggle off your hand and hide under the couch, right? :-P
Seriously, though: Is there more to the "getting fired" thing than you're sharing? Did you finally succeed in really pissing someone off? I mean, if you did the latter you'd be my hero & all, but I'm just curious. Feel free to email me if you don't want to share here (or tell me to bugger off if I'm prying).
Still, good reason or no, maybe this is a blessing in disguise. I mean, it's not as if you really *like* working for WallyWorld -- and this may be the chance to look for a more rewarding/stimulating/less stressful job. I know Alabama isn't busting with super-exciting opportunities, generally speaking, but I bet there is *something* out there you'd like more than being made to be nice to morons every day. (???)
Good luck in the search. Keep us posted on what happens. :)

Dude, my mucus blobs just point and shriek at my nostril. I'm not sure if they want back in, or if they're just complaining about their previous homes
( ... )

Oh, so you're not allowed to write "fuck" on a piece of paper at Wally World, now? I know they're all "family values" 'n' shit, but, damn. I mean, it's not like you extemporaneously did the bit at the top of your lungs for a crowd of first-graders. Jeez! Talk about overreacting.
And yeah, I agree that they've put up with a lot of your hijinx in the past, but I still think this is an awfully dumbass thing for a manager to get bent up over. That's all I'm gonna say about that. >_>

I'd have to agree with you on all counts. It's not like I've fulfilled my greatest dream--getting over the intercom and announcing to all the kids that Santa isn't real and that their parents have been lying to them--yet.
