A recent exchange -

Me: Ha! It's certainly "field fresh" salad. [hooks out a sprig of chickweed]
Granny: Aye, you can surely tell that!
Me: May I use the oven in a bit? I only have a meeting today and I thought I'd bake to use up some eggs.
Granny: Before 4 o'clock it's fine.
Me: 'k. [gets lunch out of microwave]

were you off somewhere or just wearing cos its comfy? the danger of living history is an eclectic wardrobe mix of ancient clothes which are comfy and u end up looking like a lost homeless time traveller.
