Pretty well, though there were some bumps. The GM isn't yet super up on the rules, and my girlfriend had never played any Burning games before (I introduced her on *very* hippy games like Polaris).

What we did is played one of the example missions with pregens, then, after discussing what went wrong and right with it, made our own characters to launch our actual campaign next time we meet.

Also, my girlfriend and I found and purchased a Mouse Guard plushie in the Bryn Mawr gaming store on Saturday afternoon, which definitely increased our enthusiasm!

I really would like to try a game of Nobilis or In Nomine. They sit on my shelf, waiting for me to have some friends.

on a metaphysical/cosmic kick? somehow those games seem harder to sell than fantasy or superhero games.

You know that I don't usually play CRPGs, but I broke down and bought Mass Effect for the PC for $20. What little time I have to myself these days is now gone.
