In this final entry for semester two I will be briefly discussing what I found interesting in the literature readings, specifically Tom Stoppard's 'Arcadia'.

I love the way Stoppard cleverly uses of concepts / representations and references to the common things we do in life in his writings and the way he links his characters to science.

After last weeks exploration of Mansfield’s works I have chosen to craft a creative piece of writing. I have been inspired by the modernist writers of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. This week is an extremely busy week for me. Live-journal is due and so is the Conrad/Yeats essay. Amidst this pressure, I have made time to read some of T.S. Eliot’s work, in particular “The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock” and I have written a page on what I understood of his literature and how I made sense of his style of expression.

After reading the unit outline and the author’s names to be studied, which included T.S. Eliot and Virginia Woolf, I decided to research the meaning of feminism before tackling any of the respective authors works.

Another week of Live-journal… hooray! I was planning on finishing reading Conrad’s Heart Of Darkness, and fortunately enough I did! I really felt like writing down what I had understood of the meaning behind the 'heart of darkness'.
