Memes...

I have no idea how to put memes with pictures/graphics under an LJ cut. Maybe it is better for everyone, but I do enjoy memes. Can someone help me? :)

okay, what you need to do is type:

(img src="url of the image you want to post") but replace the parentheses with < and >.

oh, wait. to put it under a cut you just do the regular LJ cut tag.

(lj-cut) pics pics pics (/lj-cut)

again, replace () with < >

But I have no idea what the locations of the images are, because they're from memes and quizzess... ??

? I'm not sure what you mean. If it's the ones I'm thinking of, I just use Google image search and then copy the address of the pic I'm going to use.

i find that whenever i try to do this in "rich text" mode the pix all disappear. so when i do it in regular mode, and type in

before the meme, and then type the code

at the end of the meme (remove your pants for both codes) it seems to work wonders.

or is that code what you've been using and it doesn't seem to be working for you? for what it's worth, there was a time when i first started with LJ (in september) when i was doing everything right with cuts and yet the cuts would not work, and so i thought i was doing everything wrong. until finally one day cuts worked for me. and i realized "it was not me doing anything wrong this whole time." it may very well be LJ is messing with your imagination. a month from now, you will be cutting like a pro again.

:D

(ignore the ERROR message above -- LJ is mad at me for putting your pants into some code.)

If, like me, you have difficulty remembering all the HTML tags then downloading a client with a GUI can be really helpful.

At the moment I'm using Semagic

http://semagic.sourceforge.net/
