Once again it is snowing. Started about 2am and supposed to keep snowing until around 11am. Not a great accumulation this time, but still. I love getting photos of the falling snow and the sunshine. I'll try to capture some today ( Read more... )

I love photography, just in case anyone didn't know that. I try to take my camera every where I go. I am respectful of people's privacy, feelings, and property. If there's a car wreck and someone has been hurt, I won't be taking photographs, because I will most likely be helping those in need. Soft falling snow, each flake a blessed moment in time. One after another creating a white rolling blanket. Mesmerized by it's sparkling peaceful beauty. Silence from where it came, to where it now lay upon the earth. Snow creates beauty where there may not be any, by gently covering it with its continuity. Today I awoke to over 14 inches of snow outside. The car is not going anywhere, any time soon. The dogs are refusing to go outside. Except Nibbles likes sticking his nose out just enough so he can eat the snow. Rosie just sits on the couch and waits to be petted once again. I have been going through the photos I took recently and have been finding some real gems. I love this new camera. I find sunshiny days make for the best outdoor nature shots. So when the sun peaks out and claims some sky, I try to be there to get some outside shots. In the near future I'll be taking a lot more photos and posting them here as well ( Read more... )

I'm back with more photos of my favorite subjects, squirrels. Getting out recently hasn't been easy. I injured my leg by trying to walk on it, and instead, collapsed on top of it. Possibly tore the muscle on the left calf. Two days later, obviously not staying off it enough, I re-injured it. Finally able to stay off of it for an extended period ( Read more... )

I wore myself out yesterday. In the morning I went on a photo shoot where we were expecting to take photos of 300 kids on sports teams for their schools. Turns out there weren't that many buying the individual photo packages. So having a third photographer was not really necessary.
