Tranquility at a price.
After a week or so hiatus from work I got back to work... and proceeded to get sick. So I've barely been to work in the past 3 weeks. And let me tell you I've never been so happy to be back. Plans Change
About a week ago my mother called me and said that my grandmother Rachel would be going in for open heart surgery on Friday. Having informed my employers as to this situation, I was able to drop everything and fly to Portland to be with her in her time of need. While the events of '07 weren't quite as monumental as '06, quite a bit was still going on. I met a lot of interesting people, increased my standing at work, got back out on my own with an apartment in Chico, obtained a very complicated love life for a short amount of time and, most importantly, managed to stay positive throughout most of it.
