Beef vs Chicken

Aug 09, 2015 22:01

My (mortal) elder brother has  sent me a letter complaining that his wife cooks mostly chicken and seldom beef, proclaiming that the former is more versatile and delicious. He wishes to know if there is a divinely sanctioned preference for one of those meats.

...as far as I know, the gods accept both kinds equally well as offerings.

meat, my brother is ridiculous

I usually steal beef off of your plate to give as an offering.

He'd complain more if she took my advice and cooked vegetarian three times a week.

I think he might die inside.

It's not that bad. Maybe she's only cooking lots of chicken because Sasuke is in one of those weird only-eats-certain-types-of-foods phases.

That might explain it. At any rate, it's his own problem to solve.

Insanity. I'm with your brother on this one, Sanatato. Get the man more beef.

Are you trying to protect your future chickens?

Maybe. I'm planning on dealing with chicken eggs, not carcasses.

Do you enjoy eggs? The foxes would be happy with them...

I prefer sacrificing chicken.

Does Dionysus prefer chicken, then?

No, I prefer beef.

Though I'd sacrifice vegetables given the option.

No. Though you can sacrifice all those grapes you hold so dear.

Perhaps your brother should offer to cook once or twice a week and can use that opportunity to make whatever he'd like to eat.

Don't be ridiculous.

Why is it ridiculous? A partner in marriage should be a partner in the kitchen, too.

He's not allowed in the kitchen.
