I uhm, quit teaching and moved to the West Coast. I have finished the first draft of one novel and started another.

Congratulations on finishing your first novel! What is it about? Is the next one a sequel or are you branching out into something else?

Well, it's about a lot of things. It's a YA novel about someone who moves across the country and has culture (wars) shock. The second novel is a sequel, but it's turning out to be very different from the first.

Sounds interesting. Do keep us folks on LiveJournal in the loop on when things might be published. While I'm a long way from YA, I'd support someone I "know" regardless of the genre. Then I can brag about knowing you before you were famous.
