I've actually been thinking about buying a place. :P I have a bit saved up, enough for a down payment. Not sure if I'm entirely set on staying in IL though, so I'm holding off on that for now.
Clearly you are channeling my hatred of deer, unbeknownst to you. Technically though... I don't hate deer. I just hate this goddamned deer hat I am making for a show at work where the antlers have to fall over on cue. Raaaaaaaaaaaaargh!
Okay, I cracked up reading this, trying to imagine a hat where antlers fall down on cue. How does that work anyways? Someone pokes a button at the back of their hat and the antlers fall? Someone pulls a string from behind their ear?
*cough* um, I like to buy high fashion brand name jeans. Let me go hide my head in the sand. I bought a pair of Seven bootcuts, and a pair of Joe's high waist wide leg jeans. Ok, the Joe's were a concession to my parents, who like to walk behind me and yell at me that "YOUR PANTS ARE TOO LOW AND YOU SHOW OFF YOUR UNDERWEAR!! LET ME BURN YOUR PANTS." Still not too sure about the wide leg part but they looked cute enough in the store. They look best with heels, so .... sigh. Need to scour the stores for some cheap, COMFORTABLE heels. Seems like all the pumps I've tried on lately all seem to be made with inflexible plastic that like to gouge holes into my skin.
Camera is a Canon SD850. I was happy because Circuit City had a great web price that the store matched. :D I don't think I'm smart enough to master all the functions of this camera, though. For a simple point and shoot, I feel pwned by technology.
Haha, I've never tried buying high fashion brand name jeans yet. Since Aeropostale jeans mostly fit me almost just right, I don't mind getting away with their $20-ish jeans, although they sometimes shrink.
As for the camera--nah :) just put a little time into reading the manual and you'll get it!
My previous rationale for buying jeans was about the same - do they fit? Do they let my crotch breathe? Hop up and down a few times ... ok, time to buy. Then I tried on Sevens and had an epiphany. They are so incredibly comfortable, and they make me look like I actually have an ass! (I don't, but it makes me look like I do.) Comfort is the main part - even after washing them a bunch of times, a lot of my old jeans (Express and AE jeans is what I used to buy) still felt like someone dumped a box of starch all over them. Right in the store, the Sevens felt like I had broken them in for about 2 years already. They're always way too long on me, but Nordstrom's will tailor for free, so that solves that problem.
I do read the manual. I still suck. :( My camera still will not produce the little heart shaped lighting effects the manual claims it will. (Well, admittedly, I don't WANT heart shaped lightning effects on my pictures, but I'm determined to get them to come out just because I'll feel 1337 then. :D)

And come visit me, I'll make you cream cheese brownies. That are healthier than Au Bon Pain's, too. :D
