Apparently I may be helping David sort out the encampment allotment for Northside. So I guess I should ask: Who's coming, how big are the tents, who's about ready to give up and camp somewhere else etc etc

My first ever interloan has arrived at the public library. Are they always reference only? That sucks (and if they're not, it sucks they didn't warn me in advance). For a decent-sized book I'll spend more money bussing to and from the library weekends and evenings to take notes on it than I spent shipping it from Australia :-/

Is it actually good etiquette to apologise to a mailing list for sending an email that was supposed to be private to it, or can people just not help themselves?

I have a perverse desire to respond to Giles's post to the Shambles ("The US BoD President is saying that "each and every participant" has a valid voice, unless you are from Lochac") by pointing out that he's excluding Finland. But I don't think it would be very constructive.

So I lost my metrocard this morning, sometime between getting on the bus and trying to catch a bus home. Rang up to try and freeze it and they inform me I haven't used my card for 4 years, so I must have been using someone else's card somehow... but the good news is, the one I just lost had $10 on it and the old one they just froze had $65!
