I loved this season so much. I'm not sure I can put it all into words but this show is so different and has such real characters. The fact we hated Magnussen so much is because he was created and played so well so he really got under our skin. It takes really good writing and acting to do that. As for everyone else in the show they are just wonderful.
I really have to watch all 3 seasons again if I'm going to rate them. But it looks like you've picked some of the best eps.

I hear that the producers are being pushed to have a Xmas special. They'd better get a move on then! XD
The thing with Magnussen and why I have an issue with him is partially because of certain fan responses.. I have friends who think he's extremely hot and an amazing character. I think neither. To say the least. I can hardly type it LOL But in all honesty, I also didn't think he was a great villain *runs the other way*
I'm not sure what to think of these rumours. To me it feels like Scandal and His Last Vow were partial Xmas specials, so not really sure where this is coming from. Plus it's the Sun who was the first to report it. Which makes me very, very weary. But we'll see. Amanda joked about Martin being available in April, so I hope to god that's not an empty joke XD
Ah okay, I can see why that would be a problem! My first reaction on reading that was WHAT!!! someone finds Magnussen attractive? Bloody hell! LOL Definitely not my type!
I think he was representing the kind adversary who thinks he's above playing by the rules...the crooked politician or big business multi-millionaire, rather than the usual villain...if you see what I mean. So in that sense I thought he was a good adversary for Sherlock as he put him in a difficult position. What *does* he do with someone like him? OMG he shoots him!! LOL Loved it!
