No one is more surprised than I am that I managed to write something. I sweat blood to get out the thing I published at Christmas, and I figured that would be it for another six months. I didn't even really set out to write this one, it was just my trying-to-get-to-sleep puzzle to solve - what could have happened on this night? It was great for getting to sleep, because I'd turn it over and over, and I couldn't, and I'd fall asleep trying. I guess it was a good way to just let my subconscious do a lot of the writing. I may have to try this again. Hmm, other puzzles to solve...

Actually I've been working on the First Time puzzle. So very many ways that could have happened, but what's the one that rings truest with me? It's kept me going for a few nights.

I get that lump too, usually from contemplating that we never got anything but teases on what was certainly an interesting relationship, and now we never will. I'm still mourning. But I will handle it with fic! (Rare, infrequently published fic.)
