I loved the little flashbacks, especially the first one. And I loved that Ianto had coins, and socks, because it is sooo Ianto.

I, for one, am truly loving his series :D

Thanks. I didn't start the flashbacks in the first chapter, but I'm wishing I had, because it's an excellent way to tell a story that has as many roots as this one.

Oh this was terrific, I am glod that they can still laugh. Also you brought Jaclk's pain out so very well about being left behind by the Doctor.

These two are great playthings for any author addicted to the pain; there's so much pain to choose from. I wish a little more was made, in the series, of Jack's pain about the Doctor. I mean, he hung around for over a hundred years waiting for him; that's not the sort of thing a person does lightly. At least the fic writers have spun that hay into gold.

This felt very real, all the words seemed to come from the heart and though some of it was painful, now that the steam is gone maybe the rain will clear the air. I'm so in love with this fic.

Thanks so much. I was afraid the whole moisture symbolism was too heavy-handed (I'm still a bit apprehensive about that, truth be told), but yeah, this represents a turning point.

I really liked this chapter. There is something so comforting about a hot shower while camping in the rain, and it was oddly erotic with them showering together but separate and talking about things. Jack's memories of the Game Station and how that affected his dealings with Ianto was very well done.
Looking forward to more!

Thank you so much. I was struggling *so hard* with this chapter, until i thought of the gamestation bit, and then the whole thing came together. Zeroing in on Jack has been a much harder process for me than getting a grip on Ianto.

I'm glad the eroticism of the separate-but-naked worked for you. It was so very tempting to just jump to hot hot shower sex, but it would have been wrong for the story. Still...very tempting.
