!!! I love this just as much as I did last night (this morning? welcome to 2002!) You still get Brendon so well, your voice for him is perfect. And the bit at the end, how you executed it is just, yes. Yes. I am going to come up with more prompts for you now :)
He sets out alone. He's of hardy pioneer stock, he thinks. His is a manifest destiny, pushing borders and boundaries ever further. He was very good at Oregon Trail II.
i love you more than anyone in the world, the end. hang on, though, i gotta finish.
okay, seriously, let me buy you many drinks when i finally get up there to see you. MANY. and let me know if you need more bootlegged musical items; if pucey cannot supply you with the things you need, i can.
GOD, THIS. your brendon was an absolute delight. the hiking in the wilderness! i love it, i love you, i love it all. a million emo hearts for you, old friend.
Awww! I love Brendon, but sometimes his characterisation in fic either errs too much on the side of cute, or too much on the side of hyperactive. I really like how you've written him here, the tangents, the curiosity, his imagination. It's lovely. And your writing is still really beautiful and fluid and I've missed reading it! I'm so glad you're being pulled into this fandom, and I hope you write more soon. =)

The lava game is all very well, in its place, but he needs to focus: specifically on the frontier game.
Oh, the hours I spent playing the lava game. This made me smile.
