I've made the switch from Vista to Windows 7. I've noticed a rather dramatic improvement in game performance.

I start work tomorrow at Passy-Muir. They manufacture medical supplies. Specifically tubes. Have to be at the office at 9 - I'm assuming work is going to be 9-6. Given that my commute is all the way up to John Wayne, it's probably better off this way. Rush hour won't be nearly as bad. It's also a good thing I live where I do right now. The ( Read more... )

There's something very fulfilling about receiving a model still in pieces on the sprue, carefully separating and cleaning up all the pieces, fitting them together before assembly to make sure they work, carefully assembling and then painting the model.

When looking at the finished product, it's kind of a trip thinking about its original state.

This has probably been one of the longest periods of time that I've gone without updating my livejournal. I've been using Facebook more these days, that and I've been a bit lazy ( Read more... )

Blizzcon has come and gone, and I feel compelled to give my own report of my experience there. The goody bag was definitely more robust than Comic-con, which not only included Grunty the "Marine Marine", but also this vinyl terran marine figure thing, hand sanitizer, and an Authenticator. If there's one invaluable thing LJ has given me is a fairly accurate archive of major life events since 2002. All the specifics and dates for my job and education history I've been forced to look up has been pulled off my LJ.

A long time ago, my livejournal friend's page was always buzzing with activity. People were posting constantly. Nowadays, it's only a few people and sometimes days will go by with no one saying a word. I know for a lot of people, there just isn't the same amount of urgency to post. Hell, look at me.
