In your opinion, how much space should be left in a suitcase for Con purchases? I'd like to use the smallest suitcase possible, but I don't want to sacrifice space for convenience. Do you normally take a slightly bigger suitcase to accommodate your swag, or do you go for a small suitcase and hope for decent bags to be provided at Con for stuff you buy?

Well I suppose the depends on what you want to buy. If it's just clothes then it won't be that much of an issue, but if you want to buy figurines or the like, then you might want to pack enough space to fit them in your bags. I'm bringing a bigger bag than Tiffany and I need, but the way I figure it, we can put Tiffany's pillow (which she wants to bring) in there, and if we need the space going home she can just hold her pillow.

I see myself buying maybe a shirt or two, but primarily figurines and things like that. This seems logical enough.

Another question: What's the ATM situation like at Con? I've never stayed at a Con (always drove to and from each day), and while I know cash is what vendors tend to prefer, I don't want to carry around large amounts of money on me each day.

Bring cash. The con is littered with ATM's, but you'll get charged fees for using them. I don't remember what bank you are, but if I remember right there is at least a BoA somewhere nearby (I vaguely recall using its ATM one night we were walking around).

I'm BoA as well. I figure for food I'll use credit/debit, and for actually Con purchases I'll use cash. Thanks!

There's a BoA 4 minutes walk away from the hotel on Island Ave.
