"I am all for women that decide to get plastic surgery, plastic surgery allows you the rare opportunity to make your outer appearence match your inner appearence, fake." - Daniel Tosh

As much as I usually enjoy bashing femenivity, some people just need simple things. Some guys need to kill things, real (hunting) or fake (video games). Some chicks need to feel they're beautiful. When you don't have millions of dollars, the cars you want, all the adoring children you dreamed of, your job as postmaster general or hollywood actress, you should have some basic things to fall back on. Beauty is one of them I guess.

Confidence. So much of it comes from what you think you look like, and what you know you look like (sometimes the same, sometimes very different.) If a woman wants plastic surgery to make her breasts as large and attractive as she's always wanted/wished/thought they might be like, then good for her. Her nose? Whatever. Cheek bones? Blah. Liposuctions? Shave it off.

It's better to pity people like that than to critisize. Did I mention I'm on a diet?

You raise a valid point, but it feels artifical to me to become confident through surgery. It treats a surface problem but ignores deeper issues.
