I thought the lettering on it had been done by spacealien_vamp, like so many of my icons, but since I didn't credit her on my icon page, maybe I'm misremembering?
You remember correctly, I did make that one. It was shortly after I purchased my embroidery sewing machine and before I loaded Japanese fonts onto my computer, because I had to get the kanji by taking a screen capture of the sewing machine pattern-making software.
Oh, thank you! I will update my icon page accordingly. And thank you extra much for one of my favorite icons, especially since it sounds like it was quite a job to make it.
I don't suppose you remember the conversation thread it emerged from? Something on your journal, or maybe something on g_defend?
Oh, dear god, I finally found it. (For the record, it was a thread in mangaroo's journal. Thread: May 12, 2005.) I should have thought to search my old email archive sooner. (Most of my email is in gmail, but that only started in 2009.)
In the meantime, I got to read a lot of old comments on G-Defend summaries. Natsukashii!
Speaking of summaries, where did I put One Piece vol. 32?
Aww, how come you didn't credit my hard work? Boo!! :< I have so few reasons to have as many icons as I've made, so it's always nice to see someone else use them. :>
My bad! Kazehaya and the Chuck wedding icon are indeed your excellent work. In that case, I did have the credit on my icon page, but I was again having difficulty remembering the genesis of the icons. I remember going back and forth a bit about the various gambaru icons... there's another thread I need to go back and dig up.
I've been getting a lot of use out of lethal gamer lately, too! I love that icon.
It's nice to see you on LJ. I know you've been on hiatus, but hope you'll be around a bit more in the new year. (And thank you for the lovely Christmas/birthday cards! I wish I didn't suck at sending out Xmas cards. Every year I swear it's going to be different, and every year my life goes to hell in December.)

And thank you for the lovely Christmas/birthday cards! You're very welcome; I'd been saving that tsundere owl card for AGES.
Every year I swear it's going to be different, and every year my life goes to hell in December. My life goes quite to hell every December, only for me that is precisely WHY I send cards. I sometimes think I'd never make it out alive if I didn't try to at least remember why. People who send cards year and after year need a reason - it can be pure or selfish, but that's an emotion and time sink no one would undertake without one! Maybe you just haven't found yours yet. :P

I can't remember at all. It's sandwiched in between several that I know were posted on wednesday_10_00's LJ, so you may want to check there.
