if you ever have to make it veggie (or are in a hurry again)
using miso as the dark stock base is really yummy too.
its rich & salty & works pretty good.
definitely better than a regular veggie broth base.

Good idea! I'd bet a nice rich porcini-type mushroom broth would work well too.

thats a great idea!
im not a mushroom fan myself but i used them
in place of meat in a stroganoff last thanxgiving for my veggie sister & she LOVED it.

Wow, cosmic!

I'm doing great. Haven't been posting much here lately, too much FB and my music blog taking priority. Been cooking up an entry or two though, so you'll hear more soon.

Was in NYC last month to visit family. Stayed in Flushing and went to Peter Luger's. Miss NY a lot, still.
