I can't sleep. I can't do anything. I sat on the chair in the living room and pet the cats...those who are left...for a few hours and cried.

The kitties inside seem to be doing OK. I feel like they know something is wrong. The whole vibe of the house is off.

We brought in a few extra food dishes and put another litter pan down for them.

So incredibly sorry about your cats-- this is an atrocious thing to happen... I cannot even imagine how awful it must be. :( Is there any way you can contact an animal welfare group or the police?

I don't think so, because we can't prove anything past the fact that they ingested poison, not who or how. It could have just been an accident...there's no part of me that thinks it was, but I have no proof.

It's all just super crappy.

I do believe in God -- and the Bible promises us that evil people will pay for their deeds. It also mandates that man is supposed to take care of and cultivate His creation, which makes me believe those who abuse animals or the earth will suffer especially harshly on the judgement day.

Have peace in the fact that he will get what he deserves. Maybe not right away, but he will, and he will be sorry.

Yeah, I believe that someday, somewhere, somehow justice will be served. I'm just glad we saved who we could and that everything seems to have stopped for now.
