Dpn's in 2mm, 3mm, 8mm and 10mm (the last two might be hard to find but I needs them for a sweater out of SnB)

My grandpa came over for dinner tonight. He brought the socks and the scarf my grandma was working on for me to finish. I have a whole hank of the yarn for the other sock she was doing, so him and I talked about making a swift and ball winder for me. Today was a tiny bit better than yesterday. Things are still quite emotional around here which is to be expected, but I know our hurting will heal faster than my grandma's hurting ever could. 12:50am on May 3rd 2007, my grandma passed away. -
update while tea is brewing
The doctors know now, thanks to blood samples, that my grandma suffered a heart attack on Saturday morning and that's why all her levels dropped. She was really comfortable and peaceful tonight when my mom and my grandpa left the hospital, but we got a call from the nurse to return at about 1:30 in the morning. Well grandma recovered from her blood infection and was looking as good as new yesterday. Her blood pressure had come up from 80ish/50ish to normal and she was her happy old self again. I went to Steinbach yesterday to see Steve and his family as well as their friends Darren and Aleisha. We went swimming and had a great time. Steve bought me 2 ( Read more... ) -

my grandma has been in hospital for 5 weeks now. She was doing a lot better and was supposed to be going home tomorrow. Monday she took a turn for the worse. We thought it was a generic lung infection, then the doctors thought it was pneumonia.....turns out its not. She has septesemia (sp??). Basically its an infection of the blood system. well, what have I been up to lately you ask? Studying for finals and knitting my little fingers off. Oh and digging myself out of horrible debt. Oh well, at least now I'll be debt free when I move out in the fall with Steve. Here are some pictures of what I've been making lately. Well my grandma that I knit with has been in hospital for over a week now and its not looking too good. I've been going almost every day to the hospital to sit with her and we knit. I have gotten a lot of work done so far as a result, but I would still rather it didn't have to happen because of this. My aunt came in from out of town to visit, ( Read more... )
