Well temporarily anyways - whenever I pop round to my parents' place to use the Internet. My last day at the internship site today. 12 months. Boy it went s l o w l y. But its done and I'm off to the big wide corporate world next year. Just the minor detail of actually getting a job.
So I'm gonna have minimal internet access now, which is a pity as I was just getting into swing of things with my LJ.

Ah - LJ & email - good things about being back at work today! Monday had to go through to the Mother Ship in Pretoria and get my contract signed off. And to find out they schnied me on my bonus (but will get it eventually). Yesterday was a day off so I could go for my "dream job" interview (fingers crossed) and then more Chrimbo shopping. I GOT SIGNED MY INTERNSHIP OFF!
I have to say I didn't see that coming. Not today anyway. In fact writing it now feels a little unreal.
The meeting involved a lot of schmoozing on my part but hey it paid off. So chuffed!

On my own in the intern office today. Might be just as well considering how down we all are. Yesterday afternoon one of the interns left in tears - there is just so much stress with finishing our internships. The other intern has already had her internship extended. And it's all up to the whims of one man . I so need to leave here.

I am usually quite the patriot but today I am in hate with this country!!! Where else in the world does an entire highway have to be diverted because gangsters smashed into a cash-in-transit van and attempted to hijack it. Ok at least they were foiled. And maybe its just cos it took me 1hr 40 min to get into work today. But still .. what the fling
