Ever since my ultrasound 6 weeks ago, the possibility that I might have gestational diabetes has been on my mind.  The baby was measuring 2 weeks older than what my due date would indicate, and one reason might be gestational diabetes.  My own measurements were also on the big side at my last pre-natal check up, so I was ordered to exercise more ( Read more... )

Our small 2 bedroom condo has a limited amount of space in which to fit a new person - even a person as small as a baby. Actually, fitting in the baby is probably the easy part… it’s the crib, and the changing table, and all the other “stuff” that seems to be part of the package. Therefore, our choices are: having the baby sleep in our bedroom or ( Read more... )

Well, now I know why it seems like my belly is so big. It is actually really big.

According to my first ultrasound, I am 22 weeks along.

According to my second ultrasound, I am 24 weeks along.

According to the measurements of my belly at my appointment today, I am 26 weeks along (!!).

Today, I really like my job. I’m wearing flip-flops and clothes that are as close to pajamas as possible while still being work appropriate, and we are getting free ice cream this afternoon.
