Muahaha, Flames are teh sux0rx. It's nothing short of a miracle that they managed to get into the playoffs in the first place, let alone topple a team like the Canucks. Red Wings FTW!!1!one
I will surely want to check into the offer before casting a vote. I admit to being a little bothered that the tribunals have not had a chance to nail the scabs as members-in-bad-standing, so they still have the right to vote. Reports are that the Bargaining Committee was not unanimous in its endorsement, which all the more makes me want to read it myself.
If it's bad, I'll vote no. If it's good, I'll vote yes.

I don't like it when the union says a deal gives the company the means they need to be flexible. Isn't that what the strike was over in the first place?
It could also mean "We got the things we really wanted, so we threw the company enough bones to go with the public and financial pressures to get them to sign off on it.". It depends on how confident the bargaining committee was of eventually winning.
The language of the contract will tell which way it went. Trust the contract, the whole contract and nothing but the contract. :)
It does. However when our bigwigs know for damn sure that Job Security was our #1 priority, I'm sure they had that in mind when it came time to comment.
