The past month or so, I noticed that I was having trouble getting my car into first gear. I'd stall out about once or twice a week. I didn't think much of it-- I just thought I was losing my touch and getting older, that it was a user error. Hmm. Maybe I should buy an automatic next time, I thought ( Read more... )

good thing for warrenties! lord knows i've used mine a time or two...or ten for all sorts of things. i'm glad you're getting it fixed.

umm i dunno... i google image'd Audrey Hepburn, found this one (originally with 4 squares, 4 different background colors) and cropped it down to size.

I will have to look up this Holly Golightly person.

You know, you should completely stop your car when you change gear. Not stopping your car completely when changing gears messes up the transmission.

umm.... not good advice for a manual transmission lady. :)

Other than, when I back up, I do my best to come to a complete stop.

This is my 3rd car that is a manual transmission-- I've never had any trouble w/ clutches or transmissions before.

Wow, that really sucks--I'm sorry hun. I know how you feel, sort of, because that's the reason I just had to get rid of my Taurus, but at least my car was already old, and I knew its time was coming...
(Hence the purchase of the Buick!)
