I didn't get to see any of it--I was the saddest! We were kept in a special greenroom tent, and I tried to escape but was foiled by people saying trivialities like 'you're wearing a silk dress and high heeled sandals and it's grass outside and pouring.' Fools. There were books and cinder toffee to be had!

Bookstore cat in Hay-on-Wye seems awesome, and like it would come with pampering...

I am looking at you in the helmet and the Tetris dress and I fall for you allllll over again. (The hilarious post doesn't hurt either!)

Watership Down was one of my top-two favorite books growing up. I have read it at least twelve separate times. I feel very sad for those poor people you were talking to who had not read it. :(

Also, you are super awesome and lovely and I loved meeting you in person at YALLFEST in 2012. I will never forget how you made ME feel - you actually said it was "amazing to meet me," ME, your humble reader, when you are the fancy author lady and it was in fact the other way round, amazing for me to meet YOU! <3 I will never forget how you took the time to talk to each person in the signing line...you made us all feel special. :)

How can all those authors not have read Watership Down?! I am scandalized! Scandalized!!

I know what you mean about the comments that seem to always be left on amazing LBGQ articles. The world has come a long way, but we still have so far to go.

Thank you for the great post! I love reading about your adventures. C:
