My favourite rabbit was Fiver. I was seven when I read Watership Down, though, so I don't know if my take on it would have changed at all in the intervening years.

I'm glad you made it to Hay and had a good time, it sounds like a wonderful experience!

(also, duh, Bonfire Night is when Witch Week ends!)

Diana Wynne Jones time, I like it. ;)

Prophets have just never been my bag. I always go 'Be more explicit! Bet on the horses!' Though I know that's unfair to Fiver.

I was (however strange it may seem now) shy and quiet back then, and identified with characters who managed to be that too and still do great things. :)

Witch Week was this American's education in Guy Fawkes too. :-)

I was super pleased to be able to see you and Holly Black at Foyle's. Remembering it is doing a weird thing to my sense of distance, because: at the time it was only three hours from me by bus, currently it is about six hours from me by plane, and now the nearest places that authors tend to stop (NYC and Philly) are about six or seven hours by car.

The point of that being, I was SUPER HAPPY to be able to go, because goodness knows when I'll get the chance to make it to another signing. Also because I laughed a lot, which is always a gift, and hearing you and Holly talk about writing was super inspiring. :)

I must say that this post has brightened my day. I love reading about your shenanigans, Sarah. And that LGBTQ panel sounds amazing!! I also love all of Scott Tracey's books so am excited to read more from him.

Aw, thank you! It was an amazing panel because amazing people were on it... I just tried feebly to keep up. ;) I am so glad you too love Scott Tracey's work.

Flat White! The coffee that Australians and New Zealanders are quietly adding to coffee menus all around the world.... didn't get to that particular cafe I see... awesome adventuring!
