It's funny you posted this today because I had memories hit me out of nowhere from when my mom decided to cloth diaper my brother TODAY. I won't lie, it saved us a bunch of money and kept who knows how many diapers out of the trash, but after seeing it for two years or whatever I wouldn't do it.
Ha! I have actually had this near exact comment before. I was soooo not excited about cloth until I started looking into it. My mom tried cloth with me back when you actually used the big rectangles that fold up around the kid that get pinned, then you put the plastic underwear over that. Because of her experience she has outright refused to help with cloth, but I keep trying to show her - compared to today's cloth that system seems archaic. In the past five years the innovations in cloth have been amazing. I may hate it - but *shrug* worth a shot.
this is pretty awesome. i think it's pretty amazing that you guys are taking things like this into consideration - it shows a lot of foresight, in many ways. you guys do this all the times, though. you put a lot of thought and consideration into everything you do. i don't think most people even think about how much waste disposable diapers create.
Weird you ask about a duola. I actually had a woman compliment my 'Serenity' shirt at Wal-Mart, and when I told her it was my husband's because I'm too big for my own clothes she whipped out a pre-natal massage card and told me she is also a duola. (My cynic side would have cried foul had my large purse not been completely obsuring the child-belly).
Now that I'm on the baby train I'm seeing all of these documents up close for the first time that I have only ever thought/heard about. Birth plans are... intense. I've tried to fill out one online a couple of times and get overwhelmed quick. You never think about three fourths of this extensive list, and then you vaguely feel like you are filling out a will. But I'll get around to it eventually. I'm way behind on the baby-planning front, though. I haven't even toured the hospital or signed up for any birthing classes.
