S was off from school yesterday. Somehow the teacher/school etc. never told us. Of course the district called 3 times over the weekend to remind us (they have a nice, automated system). Tonight I am prepping for a massive tie-dye event at the little one's end of year picnic. For all my fabric dyeing, resisting, stamping remaking etc., I've never actually "tie-dyed." I'm a little nervous about the 50 kids I will work with, 5 at a time. And that I'm not sure where we are going only that it is really nice. So I'm nervous about ( Read more... ) -

I had tons of fun at work last night (volunteering, anyway). One of the guys I work with and I had a total Replacements/Husker Du love fest. Of course it turns out we graduated from HS around the same time and listened to all the same bands. Kind of cool ( Read more... ) -

...this album usually makes me homesick for Minnesota.
Not tonight though, it just makes me wish they still toured. And (more importantly) it's motivating me to finish my research report that was due in Minnesota 2 days ago... -
