Yesterday was one of the few full days I've ever done with N when DH is out of town. Usually I try to work a few hours, just to have some adult interaction. The day went ok. Wow, life is so different with a child that sleeps. N has been sleeping through the night on a fairly regular basis for a week now. I actually have time to get some stuff done in the mornings and have a little time to wind down at night. It feels totally foreign LOL. And he's nearly weaned. Well, to make my SAHM decision even more difficult, one of our researchers just asked for my resume and bio for a response to a "Request for Proposal". She said having me on the "team" will make their bid that much stronger. Hmm, maybe I could get some sort of adjunct or consultant status...

Today is a much better day. I finally talked to DH about our "deadline". He's not so much set on a time deadline as that he's not willing to do anything medical to conceive a child. I'm ok with that. Today has been a hell of a day. Every time I turn around, someone is announcing their pregnancy. Suddenly I can't find it in myself to be happy even for those people who I know who've had a hard time getting there.
