The past few weeks my coworker's phone has been ringing. A lot.

I heard her phone ring this morning. Another doctor rushing her in for test results.

She leaves work. She comes back an hour later. She goes into the boss's office and shuts the door.  She's comes back in our office and sits down.
"Everything ok?" I ask dumbly, knowing the answer.
