A) Dave Matthews Band <3 <3 <3 <3 Sorry, can't help myself I have loved them since I as 11 and that was 14 years ago. And the QUOTE! Oh Dave. <3

B) You had me essetnially from moment one. Your use of clips from more than one source was seamless. I guess I was pretty dubious of a DMB song and Uther but it really did fit the tone of the song. (An aside, maybe the first time I really thought ASH was hot as Uther!) The Morgana bit was awesome and heartbreaking. and every thing with Arthur and Merlin is pretty much love for me. The string bit at the end where it builds and you see Merlin running? ♥ Totally dig it.

So... um. To summarize my incoherent ramblings, I really dug this. It is always nice to see a fresh perspective on a fandom I feel like I know... if that makes any sense?

re: A)
*g* I'm a total DMB fangirl. Been to about a dozen shows? Such good stuff - I can just lose myself in their music. So sad about LeRoi :( What's your fave album of theirs? I gotta say Live at Red Rocks for mine ...

re: B)
Heh - yeah, who'd have thought a definite US-based group would fit so well for a Brit show? ;) But the subject/themes of the song fit so well with the overall BBC!Merlin universe that I learned how to vid (and spent hours figuring out Sony Vegas) just for this vid. *g* Stupid bunnies that gnaw at your brain...

Thank you! I'm so glad this worked for you :) *breathes a sigh of relief in general*

ME TOO! I have been to ... oh last count 8. The best one by far was when I was 14 and he went on tour with Tim Reynolds. It was in this converted school auditorium in down town Phoenix and dear lord. The acoustics were INCREDIBLE. You could hear a pin drop at the begining of songs because it wasn't just people getting high on a lawn. It was INCREDIBLE.

My favorite album is probably Under the Table and Dreaming. I was obsessed with "Ants Marching" and "Lover Lay Down" for years and years. Oddly, lately I have been obsessed with Busted Stuff. When it first came out I was kind of take it or leave it but wow. "Grey Street"? "Big Eyed Fish"? Total love.

And LeRoi. I remember hearing about his accident but then nothing for months, and then when it leaked that he had passed away I was crushed. So sad.

(*breaths a sigh of relief in general* I know the feeling, I swear I hold my breath for the first comment. I almost have to post it before I go and do something just so I don't sit in front of the computer and dwell! ;))

Oh - I caught a show w/ DMB and Tim *tries to remember which show it was at* Dallas I think? Or maybe it was one of the Sandstone shows? Also caught DMB w/ Bela Fleck and the Flecktones and that was pretty sweet too ( ... )

Woot! I've been mem'd!

I'm so glad the song worked for you. I got the idea in my head after agonizing for months over music choice to do a vid to - and once I got the bunny it would not let go!

Heh - the show has such dark themes that it dances around - and then usually runs away from 'em so fast you're left wondering if they really existed at all. Which is a bit disappointing, but it's a kiddy-show too so I guess we just have to make due with dark-themed fic and vids. :)

But seriously - Uther and the great "Purge" is like ... glossed over like it's just another day in Camelot and it doesn't matter that a) there's incredible irony in the fact that Arthur was created by magic and will one day rule Camelot and b) Uther's kinda committing genocide. We've no idea how many people the "Purge" killed, but we've seen a number of executions (and near executions) in the name of magic over the course of 1 season of the show and that's 20 years after the fact.

Anywho! Ramble. :) Thank you so much for watching!

Ok first things first: OMG YOU USED DMB!!!!!

Now that that's out of the way...

Very good video, especially if it's your first vid. The editing was clean and well done and I very much enjoyed it. I especially liked the bit towards the end where Uther was on the right hand side and the clips of everyone else came up - very cool idea doing that.

I really hope you do more videos in the future, I'd love to see more from you!

First off ... HELL YES I DID!! ;)

You have no idea how long it took me to work out how to do that and not have it look like utter dog-doo. *g* An insane amount of time. And reading the Sony Vegas manual. And online research. And more time messing around with the software itself. *sporks brain*

But - I had the visual in my brain for how I wanted it to look - and I wouldn't rest until I got the software to do what I wanted and the product looked like I wanted. *g*

Heh - if I do? It is so going to be a short song. *g*

Thanks for watching!

Thank you! It was probably a good thing (and a bad thing) that I was so familiar with those 3 films. And then, oh darn. I had to watch 'em again to take notes and clip! ;)

Thanks for watching!
