...speed bumps happened before I was finally able to start the prescribed insulin therapy. It seems my doc forgot to also write the order so I could get needles that my injector pen needs to actually *give* me the insulin. This was solved by a phone call to the pharmacy. It seems that the Salvation Army wants an order from my doctor telling them that instead of all of the diabetic drugs I take now (for the curious, 4) when I start the insulin, I'll be reduced down to one. ...reason, the drug store has delayed the delivery of my insulin. The order was placed on Friday night, and will be finally delivered this evening. This isn't much of a problem, as I'm not using it yet (I have to get instruction from a health pro first), but it's annoying. ...exciting that happened to me this week?

I bought a $10 watch.

So there.

Currently, it's -27C with a -37C windchill, I.e. it's really cold.

I just came back from a meeting at the MEtabolic and Diabetic Eucation Center (or MEDEC) and found out that I should really look at moving to insulin injections rather than pills now.  Mostly, the pills aren't giving as great a lowering of sugar levels as they should be, and it's likely they're are losing their effectiveness.  That's not surprising ( Read more... )

...nothing really to write about here for some time.  My life is really boring, and has been for the last 4 months, or so.  Maybe that'll change soon.  No particular reason, just maybe.  Or not.
