I considered it, but thought (rightly or wrongly) Iain was interested in my actual answers rather than my, er, fictional ones.

Huh, you're treating the memevitation thing more seriously than me-I wouldn't have objected to in-character answers. Still, I was indeed interested in your real answers, so thanks.

Stross I tend to lump together with Cory Doctorow into the category of "new radical mouthy young SF writers who get a lot of coverage on Slashdot", and I don't like Slashdot much so it's not a great category for them to be in. But various people seem to like Singularity Sky so maybe I'll give it a try.
