and speaking of hair cuts

I’m thinking of cutting off all of my hair. I'm working the hair I used to have in my early twenties. It’s a bit of a matted mess in the morning. On the other hand, sometimes it looks pretty.

Here’s a not very lovely picture of me with all of my hair. I’d probably had it up that day and then taken it down - it’s not usually that wavy.

I'm not sure about those haircuts! I feel like they sort of feel like they are too bank-teller-y and something with a bit more movement would be radder!

I love looking at haircut pictures so don't mind me:

It won't be for a bit, since I have to be careful of the bucks now that I'm all unemployed and everything.

Don't you have to have unprocessed hair for the donation.

Sherry, your hair looks amazing. It is very earthmother/the M collection. I really like. The length just reminds me that it has been so long since I have seen u. :( Congrats on all your MA acceptances. And finishing corporate work. Much love,
Mrs. Mike Jones

I need to see you soon! Thanks for all of the warm congratulations. Are you coming to town anytime soon or should I make plans to get to the city?

The only thing I'll say about the haircuts you posted is that, if you get them, make sure you like spending time with the blow-drier and a round brush. I don't, but somehow end up getting cuts like that sometimes, even though I'm a wash and air-dry girl. It just looks so good when the stylist does it!

How about this?

Oh hey, good point. I always forget that part. That looks like a good cut too.

Hey, chiming in late, but just so's you know, my haircut is not unlike #2 (with slightly shorter bangs and a more extreme side part) and I NEVER style it (in fact, I barely manage to comb it when I get out of the shower), and it manages to look pretty rock 'n' roll most days. Daily hairwashing is a must, though. I get wicked bedhead.

I always warn my hairdresser that I don't blowdry or use products, so she remembers not to give me anything high (or even medium) maintenance.

i love your long hair, but you can always grow it back. short hair for summer is fun. a piecey cut would be fantastico (but maybe not those really jagged bangs in pic #2 up there.

once i got an amelie cut (slanted bob with really really short bit in back) -- it didn't suit me, but it was fun to rock it for a little while.

You would look cute in any cut!

I really like Audra's second suggestion and I think it would work wavy, since you have such nice bangs. After seeing Mia's photo though, I think you should go for Mom 'n me bobs. Yours could be a banged bob with the wave, very flapperesque. I love Louise Brooks famous look, but her wavy 20s companions look just as hot.

My hair isn't actually wavy, but I had had it twisted up that day and had just taken it down. It was a good shot of the length though.

Mia might be delighted or horrified. Hard to say. I bought her a pair of red mary janes the other day (I have a pair) and she said, "What? Do you want us to be all the time twins? I already have a bag like yours [messanger bag]. Are you going to be giving me a bunch of black clothes?"

I'm still not sure if she was pleased by the idea or freaked out. Maybe both.
