I'm at home again today with the little sick one and am planning to do this again tomorrow. I've got so much stuff to do that I've set up my office right here at home. I returned last night from the conference in Jackson to find a sick child. I think it's just a cold, but I'm taking him to the doctor later today just to be safe. Last night, not feeling well myself, I laid on the couch and watched him. Today I'm in Jackson, MS sitting in an exhibit hall at the Mississippi Science Teachers Association annual conference. I'm all set up and waiting for the exhibit doors to open (about 10 minutes from now). After picking up Emery yesterday at the bus stop, I decided it might be best to go ahead and stock up on the things we needed from The Star (what Emery calls Wal-mart). Yep, the evil MySpace has taken over. I have spent so much time trying to work on a layout, update pictures, create slide shows, and add music. It is crazy to me how much time I've invested. But I've been missing my LJ interaction lately. Hope you guys missed me too. Sorry to desert you like that.

I got a little side tracked during my vacation, but I'm back and here the short and nasty.

Day 3:  Drove Emery to Meridian to meet Nana and PawPaw

Got up around 9:00, dropped Emery off, stopped by the office, hit the gym and now I'm enjoying some ramon noodles.  Next on the agenda is a nice bubble bath, a quick straighting of the house and hopefully my book will be in at the library.  I think I'm really going to enjoy not having anyplace to be at any specific time.  My only decision each day ( Read more... )

Okay, I wasn't as productive yesterday as I had originally planned, but today is a new day, right?  ...and I just got approval to take two weeks vacation beginning at 5:00pm on Friday.  I don't think I've ever taken this much time off (that's if you don't count maternity leave or the time I took two weeks off between jobs in 2000).  I think I will ( Read more... )
